When In Doubt....Go Camping! Go Beach!!

The South Coast of NSW is one of Australia's magical gifts! If you haven't done the drive along this incredible piece of Australia then, plan a trip and, 'do it'.

Admittedly we are beach/water babies and we are drawn to these parts of the world, but this takes the cake, thus far...

We drove from the ACT to a National Park Reserve called 'Meroo Head'. Here...we went primitive camping, well nearly. There were toilets and we had our shower bladder to get us through (and the odd trip to the local pools for exercise when it was cold and rainy).

We stayed there for a whole week...soaking up the gorgeous autumn sun, eating yummy slow-cooked meals, enjoying toasted marshmallows and letting our souls soak up the incredible energy of the South Coast.

Below is Leonie entering the beach that was no more than 100m from our camp site.

Last month of Autumn and we can hardly believe our luck at having a second summer!

I can see you through the looking hole of this sea shell...

Leonie's potatoes, loving the very fact that they don't have to be wearing gum boots!

See the formations in the rocks that the ocean makes. Nature sculpting art. It was so meditating to be around and explore. Rock pool exploring is one of Dom's favourite ocean hobbies.

Aaahhhhhh YES!!! This is heaven in Australia!

YES we are keeping our training up while we are on this trip, and eating slow-cooked meals every week. Here Leonie is chopping up a nutrient dense meal of Veggies & Osso Bucco. Perfect for the nights sitting around the camp fire (with a glass of red in hand of course).

Dom ready to catch yabbies. Not today anyway. Another time maybe? So he keeps saying...hehehe

The week ended and we decided to stay on the coast line. We headed upwards towards Sydney, and to the famous and very beautiful Jervis Bay. A quick stop for lunch and then onto the magical white sands of Hyams Beach.

Leonie enjoying the 'World's Whitest Sand'....that's official according to the Guinness Book of Records. It was a bit chilly in the air, but remarkably the water temp was almost warm.

Us enjoying the stillness.

Loving our life...

Us enjoying the ultra soft sand between our toes

Us demonstrating just how white the sand really is.

Bliss

An excited jumping Moo Moo Cow :)

Dom throwing in one of his token Capoeira moves for the capo fans back home :)

Next we have a big decision to make....
